CONNECTING POINTS

We understand ourselves to be a community. We're men and women of all ages, who are trying to live our lives oriented to God and His purposes in the world. Being an apprentice of Jesus Christ and becoming like Him are not the easiest tasks. In fact the obstacles can be almost overwhelming much of the time. Fortunately, we don't have to go that journey alone - it is His intent to bring us into a family that assists us along the way. But it requires connecting to God inwardly, connecting to others outwardly and staying connected to each other.

So, you can think of us as a group of people who are connected "doing life together". We believe that church, the way God intended it, should be a place in which deep relationships are formed: where we can share our hopes, dreams, failures, sorrows and pain together. Regardless of the activity, small group or program we hope that our church will be a context in which people can learn about God and His ways and grow in their relationship with Him.

As a family of followers of Jesus we are constantly challenged to embrace diversity - both social and cultural. We intentionally connect with each other because we understand that part of our spiritual formation is to love and care for the community around us in tangible ways.

We also recognize that we live in a transient community - a changing community where demands upon people's time and energy seem to be ever increasing. Therefore, we as a church need to remain flexible to adjust to these changes and time constraints. Community here means that "one size doesn't fit all" but we are building relationships that stay purposely connected while reflecting and honoring the diversity that exists among us.
